A little overdue (like more than a month) but anyway here is my "travel blog".
Friday 17th February 2006

On the morning of my depature I arrived at Perth Domestic Airport relatively early in the morning. As some of you know that my passion with airliners and aircrafts... well that kinda explains why I wanted to stick around a while at the airport before my boarding the plane.

Qantas terminal and the new quick check system (self-check in).
This new quick check has been around in Japan for sometime and had slowly started to implement here in Australia.

My boarding pass.. seating at 30A!! A little too infront of the wing but it was still good enough for me to witness some of the wing action.

My Flight QF804, aircraft being on one of the latest international configured Airbus A330-300.
Lucky me, considering it was a domestic flight and not an international.
And the Airbus A330-300 and A330-200 are the only domestic aircraft in Australia to use twin boarding bridge for faster boarding and disembarking.
(No, I'm not employed by Qantas as a promoter)

Waiting to board the plane...on the cheap economy side of the boarding bridge.

View outside from the aircraft

Spotted another Airbus.. but its the sucky 200 series.. HA! (Hwahwa hwa.. the "HA" is quoted from Pam's Blog.. lurve it!!)

A couple of shots taken whilst in the air.

Had to do the whole circling thing before the plane could land at melbourne. You can see the airport pretty clearly.. sorta.. They had recently upgraded so to accomodate the A380s.

Anyway I shall now explain what the whole fuss was about when I got so excited that I was flying on the international configured aicraft.
Some of you have probably flown the international sector of Qantas where most a fitted with the PTV in economy class. Well, luckily I was on the very few domestic flights that are allocated these aircrafts.

Pictures of Melbourne Airport. See all the fuss about the Commonwealth games?

My transport to the city, Southern Cross terminal on the sky bus as per last visit since stupid Nan doesnt drive nor organise a welcoming party.

And just one shot of the city, the newly build or renovated or I dunno what Melbourne Central.
Well last time it wasnt finished ok? so for me its new.. ohhhhhhkay?
Saturday 18th February 2006
Today was the day, a shopping day.
The schedule had been something like this:
1) Bridge Road
2) Chapel and South Yarra (I think)
3) City (mainly Colins)

Bridge Road...

Its Chapel st.. cant you read the street sign?

After all that wanted to go to Crown to see Burberry.
So on the way just passed through Southbank and all (hey if I got any of the names wrong.. well im just stupid ok?)

Inside Crown.. at the lobby.. I think its a lobby.. issit?
I think the decoration was for the CNY.. maybe..
Wanted to eat at Greco but just read this ridiculous sign.. grrr
but theres one on Chapel.. its all good.

Southbank

A day of shopping.
Benneton.. SABA.. Gucci.. Lacoste.. AX.. etc etc
Total spent.. hmm...

Shots of Melbourne Night

Sunday 19th February 2006

Queen Victoria market.. which I cant be bothered about..
bit cheap hor..
bit low class hor..
so jalan2 instead lor..

Playing with the mirror at the pancake shop parlour thing..

Yes.. yes.. yes.. please.. please.. please..

Are you drooling??
OMG.. you are?? well... hmm...
For dinner decided to head to Box Hill..
Supposedly theres alot of asians there.
Caught the train there.. haha

Left: Melbourne Central train station. Its dirty subway station. How metropolitan and unglam.
Right: The trains in melbourne are super wide.. looks funny. Perhaps Melb ppl are fatter thats why they need more space?
Decided to eat Korean just not far from the train station.

They pulled down this huge ass smoke sucker son of a machine..

Aftermath.. all cleanly eaten.. may be its a North Korean restaurant and theres some sort of ora that makes you eat up nice n clean.

Once we got back to the city, saw this street chess playing.
Monday 20th February 2006

View of the city from the Melbourne Uni Law building

I learnt how to play mah jong!! wheeeee!!
And i totally suck at it!! Pong pong pong!!

Tuesday 21st February 2006
Found this huge ass park on the way back from Chapel street so decided to be spontaneous and just jump off the train and have a look look.

Saw this on the way back to city..

and this one too..
Later that night met up with a few of Nan's friends for karaoke as it was my last night in Melbourne.
I tell you karaoke is much better in Perth. The one I went was so dodgey its seriously not funny..

Sass (I dont know how to spell ya name) is a fellow Perth girl also on holiday in Melbourne.

Then somehow we moved out of the room into the corridors of the karaoke place.. I guess everyone was a little bit high??

Wednsday 22nd February 2006
My last day in Melbourne.
Was off doing last minute shopping.
Afterwards Nan took me to this cafe, Laurent.
And OMG.. the food there.. rather the cake there..

After rushing to pack my luggage, hurried off to the airport, yes again on the skybus... and yes again all alone.
Earlier when I caught the cab to the skybus terminus, they had changed location from the old skybus stop to the new bus terminus within that few days I was there that the cab driver even didnt know about it. HA! (<--heehee)

Last look of Melbourne (airport...)

This time my aircraft is the Boeing 767-338.
This used to fly the international sectors. AKA the retired old dodgey international sector aircrafts are now being recycled and used on domestic... omg.. scary..

On the run way.
Moments earlier, just about when door of the plane was going to close, I got a phone call.. from Sandra.. it went something like this..
Me: Hello? (whispering)
Sandra: hello yos.. what are you doing?
Me: I'm... a bit busy right now..
Sandra: Are you ok?? you sound stressed...
Me: Im fine.. just bit busy.. hey i call you another time ok?
Poor Sandra thought i was stressed and told esther about it..
Infact i was on the plane and had forgotten to switch off my handphone.. thats why I was whispering.. and bit stressed... lol
Later esther called and asked how i was.. only to hear me in such a cheerful voice..
hehehe sorry babes..

Climbing and climbing.. going north east direction..

Sunset over the Victorian sky... or am I already in NSW??

Arrival at Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport just about 2100.

Thursday 23rd February 2006
First day in Sydney.
Slept in a bit.. alot.. so tired..
Michael had earlier left for class but ofcourse I was being a pig lah.. sleeping till he finished class.. When I was supposed to miss call him once I had woken up.. but instead.. he woke me up by calling me...

Streets of Sydney..

Sydney tower..

The kebab I had..
Not that nice.
Still I think Melbourne has the best kebab..
This one was weird.. it came in aluminium foil..
Or issit technology and Im just slow?

After that, headed over to QVB to do some retail therapy.. or so I thought..
But spending too much in Sydney I hesitated to spend.. but still just go look look see see lor..

Right: China town.. and my beloved cd/dvd/vcd shop!!

Cicular Quay was the next destination.. This is where Opera House is located just incase some of you are unaware.

Harbour bridge.
Some of you may recall.. my SURPRISE video call... hwa hwa hwa
This is where I let people know where I really was and why they havent been seeing me lately.

Two of Sydney's icon..

Just underneith the bridge, you can see Sydney's Luna Park.
Both Melbourne and Sydney have Luna Park.. and they both suck.

Met up with Hendry and Eric and his friend together with Michael
Had dinner and went for Ice Cream...
Just look at it..
Calories waiting to be consumed...

Eric was just digging his way into the ice cream where the flavour he likes are located..
and as a result.. there started forming a cave...

Aftermath...

Friday 24th February 2006

Headed towards Darling Harbour on the Monorail.
Decided that I want to be a super mega tourist and want to do such thing as aquarium and zoo.. hehehe

After the aquarium.. had a stroll around Darling Harbour..

Sydney trains are so much better than Melbourne.. its double story!! All of the carriges!!
Can you see the stairs?? Can ya?! Can ya?! Can ya?!
Anyway, crossed the bridge to the other side to look at Luna park and all.
That only took a few minutes to stroll around.
Decided that since bridge climb is too expensive this time around, just walking across was good enough.

At the beginning of the walk..

Going through the first pylon

Right beneith the centre of the bridge..

One of the four pylon, you can actually climb and have a look.
So just go up lor.. First time i paid to walk up set of stairs.. haha but not that expensive anyway..

The view from the top of the Pylon was just amazing..
Especially as it was in open air.
If you find the bridge climb to be too pricey (approximately 200 dollars, and you cant even take your camera.. you have to buy photos that they take for you.. at a very pricey price) then I'd recommend just goin up the Pylon for a relatively fair price.

The next on the list was the Sydney Tower. Another landmark of Sydney.

Rather funny. Had to go through security screening.. yet they dont even check the bag that thorughly.. no x-ray machines even.. I guess not that hard to bomb it.. if you wanted to..

東西南北

Pacific Ocean in the distance..
Im literally on the otherside of the country..

Although we got there around 1800, we decided to stick around until sunset some 2 hours or so later and take a look at some night shot of the Sydney city and surroundings.

Sunset... DUH...
Following are just some night shots..

Left: You can see the lit up Harbour Bridge

Night time Darling Harbour
After coming down the tower, headed to hard rock for dinner then had a stroll through Hyde Park and towards the botanical garden to digest our food bit.

Hyde Park

Some building.. I dunno wot building it is..

This is a church.. hahaha

The View of Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge at night time.

Saturday 25th February 2006

Just another shot of the tower...

Equivalent of Harbour town.. but it kinda sux? I mean both this and that (ie perth n syd).

But still today ended up being the shopping day..
More AX, more Japanese books, more gucci (again not for myself), CK Jeans, Lonsdale etc etc.

Managed to find my BoA OUTGROW album which was only recently released in Japan couple of weeks back and in other Asian country about a week back.
BoA... Saranghae...

Sunday 26th February 2006

Did rather touristy thing again.. as per everyday..

Headed towards the coastal area called Laperouse...

Does this look familiar to you?
A movie perhapse?
YES!! Its one of the setting for MI-2

Stayed there for very short while.
Just a place for us to look2 see2 then thats it.. if you know what i mean.. lolz

Headed back towards the city and decided that we should go to Star City.
Star City is Perth Equivalent of Burswood.. except better
Star City is a Melbourne equivalent of Crown.. except crappier..

Michael waitng at the bus stop.. tired I think.. sleepless nights?
Anyway only to be awaken by my wonderful paparazzi work!!

Car and People entrance to Star City respectively..

Ok.. not quite panoramic.. since my camera dont have that function.. time for a new camera!!
Very overcast day.. rained a bit here and there.. but still it was relatively warm.. how horrible is that?

This is the casino? cant you read?

If you are from Melbourne, you would think.. OMG.. Sydney so kiasu.. make tram..
And I agree..
But so I was educated.. its called Light Rail.. woo sorry...

Caught the LIGHT RAIL to Sydney Grand Central.
This is where all the country train service and interstate service such as Indian Pacific and trains to Brisbane and Melbourne arrive and depart from.

Left: Concourse of Country and Interstate Service (Local trains are underground)
Right: Coutrylink XPT night service to Melbourne.

Some scary stair case that we came across within the station...

Decided that it was dinner time..
Korean again.. this time stew..
They had alot of variety to choose from and alot of side dishes compared to perth.
And the serving for just the two of us could easily feed the US marines.. or may be not.. but you get the point...
Taste wise.. KimChee house in Northbridge is much nicer..!!

More Paparazzi after our meal..

Monday 27th February 2006

Second last day in Sydney and had planned to go to the Zoo.
I know i know!! Im such a tourist.. as if I've never seen a kanga in mylife before..

So sad.. Leaving soon.. Gotten fat.. Got a pimple..
Poo..

Anyway.. Today was again so cloudy and gloomy.
To get to the zoo, we must catch the ferry from Circular Quay.

Is this my ferry? So exciting.. get a new ferry!!

Or Could this be it?

Saw a cruisliner that had arrived in the quay..
I've never seen one before.. really..
Perth hardly every have.. Japan.. fat chance..
I know Singapore got.. so all those singaporeans must be shaking their head right now..
hehehe.. its exciting for me ok??
quack mmm quack?

Leaving the city beind.. farewell.. I will be back soon.. in a few hours..

Cruising past all the highlights.. pitty the weather.. really..

I think this use to be Sydney version of Alcatraz

And this is just some war ships to blow things up in the case of terrorism

All in one picture

I forget to take the picture of the stupid little old ass ferry before I boarded so here it is when we arrived at the bottom entrance of the zoo.
From here we must go on the ropeway thingy to get to the top entrance of the zoo.

Pics of the animals.. pretty self explanatory..

Cool shaped turtle.. tortoise? which one to use?

My first time seeing a cameleon.. i think it was a cameleon..

Please lah.. like ive never seen a snake before... pffft.. i even seen a snake on a man.. python even.. hwa hwa hwa *evil horny grin*

These apes are nuts.. like crazy.. they were fighting like monkeys.. oh wait..

I found an electric fence.. so Jurassic Park dont you think?

The seal show was super cute..
The trainer looked like he juz had a shag (not with the seal!! EWWW ur gross!!) and regardless.. was super cute too!!

I think this bear came out in that Bear movie.. the disney one

These Lions.. so lazy.. The female one laying on the left, I think her name was Sandra.

This tiger was much more active.. I think bored.. mebbe bored of the women/men. Wants more variation in life..

I found bambi!!

This huge ass thing.. had to wear this net to protect its eyes.. but they can still see you.. apparantly.. may be i should call the RSPCA

I think these otters were cute.. until they started eating.. so fierce.. so scary...

After endless walking and endless smoking throughout the park I found this sign.. oopsies

Left: Dingo.. so cute..
Right: Tasmanian devil.. quite lucky that it came out to play play..

Munch munch munch.. they eat sticks.. yuck.. i want pocky..

On the way back was the same deal.. except opposite.. obviously..

bye bye zoooooo.. hello city!!

The ship is called ORIANA.. and it came from London.. and and and.. we have to keep 50 meters away..

That was the end of Syndey Ferries for me..
wanted to go Manly also by the ferry but not enough time.. oh well.. perhaps next summer

This is what it looks like underneith the Opera House

My first starbucks in the entire trip.. amazing huh?

I got so annoyed with you Michael.. always on the phone.. you know I need more attention dear..

Nagoya yakiniku was the finaly dinner in Sydney.. So yummmmm... buffet....

After we got back, I made michael his Okonomiyaki since he insisted.
He wanted to learn so he can score hendry and have sex with him.. not quite..
but wanted to make for hendry...

Tuesday 28th February 2006

My last day in Sydney.. So sad to leave..
Today was such a nice day, and wanted to go to Bondi.. so off we went..
We managed to have breakfast there.. so nice to have a mean by the beach.. hehehe

Supposedly famous pool by the beach..
See the waves hitting agains the side walls?
During high tide, the sea goes up to the same level as the pool.. and then it becomes a wave pool.. so coooooool... i want one in my back yard... but then again.. i hardly even have a backyard..

Spririt of Tasmania is the sea service connecting tasmania and both melbourn/sydney.
Wouldnt mind going on it one day

This is the city Krispy Kreme store.. where I initially bought 2 dozen.. only go go back in a few seconds later to buy a third dozen... HA!

After all that was done.. it was time to go back and pack.
then rush to the airport.

He must have been super tired rom accompanying and showing me around sydney.. and with few other extra activities. Fell a sleep at the airport terminal.. how unglam.. but Thanks babe for everything!!

Final snap before I board the plane

The aircraft this time was an Airbus 330-200. Nothing fancy.. no PTV.. just a meal and stuff like that.. Pride and Prjudice was being screened but didnt really watch.. kinda started to miss my holiday.. It was back home to my loved ones where we can just be crapping again
Didn't take many photos ont he plane as it was a night flight.. but manage to catcure the sunset.. kinda..
