It was all exciting to see the Qantas A380 Nancy-Bird Walton (Reg: VH-OQA) to arrive to Perth for the first time.
Although Perth has 3 Terminals, it is still a small terminal.
I mean the International terminal only has 5 single airbridges.
This would make it near impossible for an A380 to operate to Perth on a scheduled flight.
This was more reason why catching this breathtaking moment was important.
Benny picked me up at around 620 is in the early hours of the morning.
We drove to the Intl Terminal (via mccas breakfast of cuz).
There was a dedicated "car park" or rather just a patch of land reserved for A380 viewers.
735am, South African SA280 Arrived
Singapore Airline SQ224 departing for Singapore
and up she goes!! She did a very quick and fast rotation and before I know it it was airborne!!
Virgin B737 and Qantas A330-200 coming into land.
Just around 800am the A380 did a very nice fly-by the airport. It went to do a little "play play" near the city.
Here she comes!! First approach ever for an A380 at Perth airport.
